Job Description

Now hiring a singing teacher to teach private lessons at our Wan Chai studio to children ages 7-18 years of age as well as adults. Teacher may be required to teach group classes of ages 4-6 to develop music basics, vocal skills and stage presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Engage students with games, exercises and songs

Provide tailored feedback to students or parents of students

QUALIFICATIONS

The teacher also needs to have a basic knowledge of both musicality and vocal anatomy as well as a proficiency of playing scales on piano. Teaching experience needs to be at least one year. Proficiency in piano accompaniment NOT needed, but welcomed.

Each teacher must complete a training course and class observations to fully understand the protocols for utilizing the SeanyMac program. This time period will include team teaching, observation and regular voice classes.

SKILLS

Be an excellent motivator to enhance the desire for improvement

Be a team player

Have piano proficiency where appropriate, as in exercise scales. (Note: Piano accompaniment skills are NOT needed, but welcomed.)

Be flexible to the requests of students and parents

Be professional at all times, and be realistic in terms of achievable aims

WORKING CONDITIONS

Each teacher is expected to provide a personal laptop computer OR similar device (i.e. mobile phone, iPad, etc.) with Bluetooth capabilities to play backing tracks for students. Please note that while minimal piano proficiency is required (e.g. playing simple scales for exercises), each teacher does NOT need a high level of piano proficiency.

EXPERIENCE

At least one (1) year of experience teaching ages 6 and up.

Pay: $300.00 per hour
