Assistant Finance & HR Manager
Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting
- Assist in managing the company’s finance and accounting operations, including full set of accounts, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, budget reports, and variance analysis for management review.
- Support annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Monitor accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash flow, and overall financial performance.
- Assist in product costing, pricing analysis, and profitability evaluation.
- Support preparation of financial analysis on business performance, expenses, and investment decisions.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and relevant authorities on financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, audit requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain effective internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial documentation.
- Support management in developing financial strategies and process improvements.
Human Resources
- Assist in managing the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, training, performance management, and employee relations.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and SOPs in compliance with Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage payroll administration and ensure accuracy in statutory contributions including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN, and HRD Corp requirements.
- Support manpower planning, employee engagement activities, and organizational development initiatives.
- Handle employee disciplinary matters, grievances, and HR-related issues professionally.
- Ensure proper maintenance of employee records, HR documentation, and compliance reports.
- Liaise with government authorities such as JTK, KWSP, PERKESO, LHDN, and other relevant agencies when required.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR policies and employment matters.
Leadership & Improvement Initiatives
- Lead and guide Finance and HR team members to achieve departmental objectives.
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and ensure effective execution of daily operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Support management in strategic planning and business improvement projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling financial and employee-related information.
Competency Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, or related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MBA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role covering Finance and HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, costing, and taxation.
- Good understanding of Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN, HRD Corp, JTK).
- Experience in manufacturing industry or medical device industry will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information.
Pay: From RM8,000.00 per month
