We are looking for a hands-on Shift Tech Lead to join a leading multinational manufacturing company. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-speed automated production equipment to ensure maximum machine uptime, operational efficiency, and product quality.

Working Schedule: 12-hour Rotating Shift (Day & Night)
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electromechanical equipment.
- Diagnose faults on PLC-controlled machines, sensors, servo motors, drives, HMIs, and automation systems.
- Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and restore production safely and efficiently.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to maintenance schedules.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to minimize recurring failures.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Support machine setup, commissioning, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform minor facility electrical maintenance and inspections.
- Complete maintenance reports, work orders, and shift handovers accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience maintaining high-speed automated equipment in industries such as packaging, converting, paper, printing, FMCG, food & beverage, plastics, or similar manufacturing sectors.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and industrial automation systems.
- Experience with PLCs, sensors, servo motors, servo drives, VFDs, encoders, actuators, and machine control systems.
- Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, and OEM manuals.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and root cause analysis.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Willing to work a 12-hour rotating shift, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Skills
- PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Hands-on experience with servo systems and industrial automation.
- Knowledge of CMMS or SAP PM is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
