Job Summary

This role encompass the design and implementation of network and security solutions for clients, managing configurations, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network and security solutions by configuring routers, switches, wireless devices, load balancers, and other network hardware to meet client requirements
  • Firewall skillset (on designing, configuring, troubleshooting and quick turnarounds) is highly desirable
  • Rack and stack network devices efficiently to prepare for deployment
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by managing expectations and ensuring their network needs are fulfilled
  • Diagnose and resolve network and security issues during deployment by investigating connectivity problems, configuration errors, and analyzing network traffic
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation including Low-Level Design, Technical Design Specification (TDS), As-built, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) documents
  • Obtain client signoff on all project documentation to ensure formal project closure
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and Operations teams to deliver network solutions within agreed timelines
  • Provide thorough project handover to clients and internal operations teams to ensure smooth transition and ongoing support
  • Lead knowledge sharing sessions to update the team on best practices and emerging technologies

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in network design and deployment
  • Proficient in routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, Multicast, VSS, Spanning Tree, MPLS L3VPN, and wireless networking
  • Expertise with network hardware and tools including Cisco, Extreme Networks, Aruba, and Ekahau Site Survey tool
