Overall responsible for project execution in Malaysia, including overseeing the successful completion of one or more projects by providing strategic leadership, managing budgets, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. He/She will manage local project managers and coordinate with all stakeholders, including clients, engineers and subcontractors, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Key duties include strategic planning, risk management, financial oversight, stakeholder communication and site quality control and assurance. He/She is accountable for aligning project objectives with the company’s strategic goals and ensuring that projects are executed and delivered on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the planning, execution, and closure of multiple construction projects simultaneously, from inception to completion
• Set project goals, define project scope, and develop strategies that align with the company's broader organizational objectives.
• Provide leadership to local or in country project teams, coordinating with various departments, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth progress.
• Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, and other stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status through regular reporting and meetings.
• Implement and enforce health and safety policies, ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, and monitor quality standards in compliance to the Company's EHS pre-qualification process and EHS project manual / program – and aligned to the Company's EHS policy
• Manage manpower resources, including personnel and materials, to meet project goals.
• Act as the primary point of contact and represent company with Clients, Contractors, Supply Chain and Relevant authorities
• Assist with site due diligence and land acquisitions, support Sales and Solution team with RFPs
• Act as the primary point of contact and represent company with Clients, Contractors, Supply Chain and Relevant authorities (including but not limited to, land development matters, power, water, planning and building authorities)
• Producing, maintaining records and keeping up to date all required project documentation (from inception to handover of projects to Operations)
• Interface with finance, solutions and operations day-to-day to deliver the projects successfully.
• Lead the team to identify occupational hazards and risks, and ensure effective risk control
• Maintain effectiveness of the ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 Quality Environment, Health and Safety Management System

Requirements:

• More than 10 years in construction project management with a successful track record in delivering large-scale data centre projects
• Degree in Civil Structural Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Facilities Management or related engineering disciplines
• Experience in construction management process during construction stage from mobilization, construction / installation, testing & commissioning to closeout and handover
• Good knowledge and understanding of relevant CSA and MEP engineering applications
• In-depth knowledge of data centre construction processes, methodologies, and best practices
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams and relate with personnel from various units of the company.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
