Role Overview

As a Cook , you’ll assist in the daily preparation and cooking of food across various kitchen stations. You’ll work closely with the kitchen team to ensure dishes are consistently delicious, well-presented, and delivered efficiently. This is a great role for someone passionate about food, eager to learn, and comfortable in a busy, team-oriented kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen team in prepping, cooking, and plating dishes.
• Ensure food is prepared according to recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety in your work area at all times.
• Assist with mise en place, basic food prep, and receiving of inventory.
• Follow hygiene, health, and safety regulations, including proper food handling.
• Keep equipment and kitchen tools clean and in good working order.
• Be open to learning and taking on new responsibilities as the kitchen grows.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of kitchen experience preferred (café or casual dining background welcome).
• Food Hygiene Certification (WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Course).
• Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to learn.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Able to handle fast-paced environments with consistency and care.
