Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the on-site engineering team, daily operations, and vendor performance for the data centre.
• Oversee overall site facilities management, including operations & maintenance, finance, HSE, procurement, and vendor management.
• Ensure excellence in preventive and corrective maintenance programs in accordance with industry best practices, statutory regulations, and contractual requirements.
• Manage and oversee all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems and coordinate engineering response during business-critical incidents.
• Provide leadership and technical direction to multi-skilled engineering teams and appointed service providers.
• Ensure all employees and vendors comply with client and company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical facility failures, ensuring timely investigation, resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement operational standards, preventive maintenance (PM), planned maintenance (PPM), repair & replacement programs, and helpdesk processes.
• Manage both Hard Services and Soft Services operations while ensuring service delivery meets agreed standards.
• Oversee subcontractors and specialist vendors to ensure work quality, compliance, and timely completion.
• Monitor contractor performance against contractual budgets, KPIs, and SLAs, and implement corrective action plans where necessary.
• Conduct regular meetings with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to review operational performance.
• Ensure maintenance records, documentation, and asset management information are accurate and up to date.
• Support statutory compliance, certifications, audits, and regulatory requirements for the site.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Operational Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) is mandatory.
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in engineering, facilities management, or critical environment operations.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating electrical and mechanical services in a Tier III (or equivalent) Data Centre or Critical Facility.
• Strong experience in the maintenance and operation of data centres and critical environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of M&E and building systems, including CRAH/CRAC, Chillers, PDU, UPS, Switchgear Operations, DX Cooling, Network Structured Cabling, and Security Systems.
• Competent in conducting Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Proficient in Windows-based applications; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare technical reports and business justifications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, vendors, and engineering teams in a fast-paced critical environment.

Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM17,000.00 per month
