We are representing a well-established multinational manufacturing company that is looking for an experienced Factory Manager to oversee its Malaysia manufacturing operations. T
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the overall operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that align with business objectives and regional direction.
• Oversee cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Engineering, and related operational functions.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage plant performance through KPIs, capacity planning, resource optimization, and operational analytics.
• Lead, coach, and develop department managers to build a high-performing and engaged workforce.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee customer, internal, and external audits while ensuring operational readiness.
• Manage plant operating expenses (OPEX) and identify opportunities for productivity and cost improvements.
• Collaborate closely with regional and local stakeholders, including Sales, Finance, HR, Quality, and other business functions.
• Lead risk management, business continuity, and operational problem-solving to support sustainable plant performance.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience managing medium to large manufacturing operations with responsibility across multiple functions.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt certification is an advantage).
• Experience in production planning, capacity management, process optimization, and operational excellence.
• Strong people management, coaching, and leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
