A secondary school in Ang Mo Kio seeks a Discipline Support Officer to support its Student Management Committee in handling discipline cases, detention, suspension, and campus supervision.
The role calls for a calm, fair, developmental approach - helping students reflect and improve their behaviour, while working with school staff to keep a structured, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Document and support investigation of discipline cases with discretion and fairness.
Manage detention: attendance, behavioural records, reflection/restitution activities.
Supervise in-house suspension, supporting learning continuity and reintegration.
Patrol campus during recess, lunch, and transitions; support dismissal routines and respond to misconduct.
Assist with straightforward peer mediation.
Report to the Student Management Committee; follow the termly deployment schedule.
Requirements
10+ years' experience in a uniformed service (e.g. Police, Prisons) or similar operational role.
Experience in youth case investigation, behavioural support, or restorative practices is a plus.
Strong conflict management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Sound judgement, discretion, and ability to build rapport with students.
Working Hours
Mon-Thu: 9.30am-4.30pm | Fri: 9.30am-2.00pm
Not required during school holidays and gazetted public holidays.
