We are seeking a Policy Administration, Assistant Manager to support the delivery of efficient, compliant, and scalable policy administration operations, with a primary focus on the SME/Mid-Corp portfolio. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, this role will help manage day-to-day workflow across SME/Mid-Corp, allocate and prioritise work, liaise closely with SME Underwriters, and process policy transactions where required to support service delivery. The role will also be expected to maintain strong working knowledge across all commercial lines, contribute to process and system improvements, strengthen operational controls, and support the continued development of a more transparent, data-driven, and customer-focused Policy Administration function.

You will be expected to:
Assist with daily allocation, prioritisation, and monitoring of policy administration work for the SME/Mid-Corp team, ensuring urgent, aging, and high-priority cases are managed appropriately

Act as a key operational liaison between Policy Administration and SME Underwriters, supporting clearer instructions, timely clarification of incomplete submissions, and practical resolution of service issues

Process new business, renewal, endorsement, cancellation, and other policy transactions as required, particularly for SME/Mid-Corp and other commercial lines where operational support is needed

Maintain product and process knowledge across commercial lines, including SME package business, casualty, property, financial lines, marine, and other relevant commercial products

Support backlog management, workflow visibility, and service performance monitoring through accurate use of logs, dashboards, and operational metrics

Help reinforce quality, compliance, and governance standards through checking, escalation, documentation, and adherence to approved procedures

Support coaching and knowledge sharing within the team by helping colleagues understand product requirements, process expectations, and service priorities

The right fit person will have/be:
5+ years of experience in general insurance operations, policy administration, underwriting support, or a related function

Good working knowledge of commercial lines products such as Marine, Property, Construction, Casualty and Financial Lines with practical experience in SME/Mid-Corp business strongly preferred

Hands-on experience processing policy transactions and understanding end-to-end policy administration workflows

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to allocate work, monitor progress, manage competing priorities, and follow through on service issues

Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to liaise directly with Underwriters and other cross-functional partners

Process-minded and data-aware, with the ability to identify operational issues, use basic performance metrics, and support practical improvement initiatives

Detail-oriented, accountable, and comfortable working in a regulated environment where quality, documentation, and compliance standards matter

Adaptable, collaborative, and willing to balance hands-on processing with team coordination and continuous improvement responsibilities
