Department: Product & Quality

Reports To: Head of Product & Quality

Location: Kota Damansara (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: RM[Range, e.g., 3,000 – 4,500] (Negotiable based on experience)

About Us

At Forest Cloud, we are commercial beverage specialists dedicated to elevating the local coffee and F&B experience. We supply premium coffee beans, matcha, houjicha, chocolate, functional powders, and professional beverage ingredients to cafés, retail consumers, e-commerce platforms, and B2B key accounts across Malaysia.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA/QC Executive to ensure every beverage product, sample, raw material ingredient, and production batch meets Forest Cloud’s strict quality, safety, sensory, and documentation standards.

In this role, you will maintain reliable product specifications, batch release controls, technical files, sensory standards, CAPA records, and product launch readiness across our B2B, retail, e-commerce, and OEM/private-label beverage programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance & Batch Controls

  • Conduct rigorous QA/QC checks for incoming raw materials, in-process production, finished goods, and beverage samples.
  • Enforce batch release, hold, rejection, stop-ship, and product disposition decisions based on approved specifications.
  • Ensure 100% of production batches have documented QA/QC release records prior to shipment or sale.
  • Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and Fulfillment teams to ensure QA holds are strictly respected.

2. Sensory Evaluation & Product Testing

  • Perform sensory evaluation for coffee, matcha, chocolate, functional powders, and syrups (evaluating taste, aroma, color, solubility, texture, mouthfeel, and batch consistency).
  • Verify product quality across all matcha grades, coffee roasts, beverage powders, premixes, and related consumables.
  • Assist in customer trials, OEM/private-label sample preparation, key account product submissions, and beverage application testing.

3. Compliance, Technical Documentation & Traceability

  • Maintain up-to-date product specifications, formulas, COA records, technical files, shelf-life records, test plans, and customer approval documents.
  • Conduct audits on packaging, labeling, batch coding, physical traceability, storage conditions, and FEFO/FIFO compliance.
  • Support supplier and raw-material qualification (microbiological, heavy metal, pesticide, shelf-life, and regulatory documentation checks).
  • Maintain digital QA records within the company's system (e.g., Lark/ERP) to ensure one controlled source of truth.

4. Continuous Improvement & Incident Handling

  • Investigate customer complaints, quality failures, non-conformances, and product defects.
  • Prepare and follow up on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) until complete closure within required timelines.
  • Support regulatory checks, external audits (e.g., MeSTI, Halal, HACCP), and internal quality reviews.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Chemistry, Nutrition, Culinary Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of practical experience in QA/QC, food manufacturing, beverage production, F&B product development, or beverage operations.
  • Category Knowledge: Strong practical familiarity with coffee, matcha, tea, chocolate, or powder premixes/syrups.
  • Regulatory & Standards: Familiarity with local food safety systems (GMP, HACCP, MeSTI, Halal practices), batch records, COAs, product specifications, and traceability protocols.
  • Sensory Skills: Strong sensory evaluation palate to detect subtle variations in flavor, aroma, texture, and solubility.
  • Software: Digitally savvy; proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace and comfortable updating digital databases (Lark, ERP, or QA software).
  • Languages: Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak/read Mandarin is a strong added advantage (to communicate effectively with specific raw material suppliers or OEM vendors).

Preferred Attributes

  • Barista, matcha/tea, chocolate, beverage R&D, or formal sensory training background.
  • Prior experience supporting key accounts, retail beverage launches, e-commerce SKUs, or OEM/private-label projects.
  • Knowledge of shelf-life testing, allergen controls, and export documentation.

Authority & Accountability

The QA/QC Executive has the authority to recommend product release, hold, rejection, investigation, or escalation based on approved specifications. No production, sales, marketing, or product development pressure shall override QA release or food-safety requirements.

Perks & Benefits

  • EPF (KWSP), SOCSO (PERKESO), and EIS (SIP) statutory contributions.
  • Comprehensive Medical Coverage, Annual Leave, and Medical Leave benefits.
  • Continuous professional development in specialty beverage QA/R&D.
  • Generous staff discounts on Forest Cloud products (Specialty Coffee, Matcha, etc.).
  • A supportive, fast-paced, and coffee-fueled work culture!

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month

Benefits:

  • Free parking
  • Maternity leave
  • Opportunities for promotion
  • Professional development

Work Location: In person
