The Role

As Associate Director (Corporate Development), you will play a key role in shaping and executing our near to medium-term business strategy for the Company’s continued success. You will work closely with the Management, business units and cross-functional teams to translate the strategic vision into actionable initiatives, this includes building capabilities, tracking performance, and managing change to ensure the Company remains competitive and future-ready.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market, industry and competitor research to benchmark against best corporate practices in the news & media space.
  • Develop strategic options to ensure the Company can nimbly respond to shifts in the operating context.
  • Drive corporate development efforts to safeguard and enhance the Company branding, support capability development initiatives and change management efforts.
  • Work across different business units to align strategic priorities, drive execution to meet measurable objectives and ensure business plans are in place.


Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Media and Communications or related discipline.
  • 5 -7 years working experience in strategic, corporate planning or business development; experience in news and media industry is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work with data, build business cases, interpret metrics and think big picture.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and adept at managing different stakeholders.
  • Good commercial acumen; understanding of media business models (advertising, subscriptions, platforms, partnerships).
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, resilient and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
