Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Cook Assistant (Canteen Chef) assists in preparing and cooking meals for staff, maintains kitchen cleanliness, and ensures food is prepared safely and hygienically.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and cooking daily staff meals.
Prepare ingredients such as washing, cutting, and portioning food.
Serve meals during meal times when required.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
Store food properly and monitor stock levels.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
Assist with receiving and storing food supplies.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Chef or Superior.
Job Requirements
Possess Basic Food Hygiene Certification
Basic cooking knowledge and food preparation skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsible, hardworking, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
