We are seeking an experienced Senior Topside Static & Package Engineer to join our engineering team, supporting Oil & Gas and FPSO projects.
Position Summary
The Senior Topside Static & Package Engineer is responsible for the engineering design, specification, review, and technical assurance of static and package equipment for Oil & Gas and FPSO projects. The role ensures compliance with applicable international codes, project specifications, and client standards throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and lead the design, specification, and technical evaluation of static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, tanks, separators, and packaged equipment.
- Prepare and review equipment datasheets, material specifications, calculations, and design deliverables.
- Review vendor bids, technical clarifications, and vendor documents to ensure compliance with project and client requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards such as ASME Section VIII, API 650/620, TEMA, EN, and PED.
- Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, inspection, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Interface with Process, Piping, Procurement, QA/QC, and Construction teams to resolve technical and interface issues.
- Participate in HAZID/HAZOP studies, design reviews, and technical meetings with clients and vendors.
- Support project schedules and cost control by ensuring timely delivery of mechanical static engineering deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in mechanical static engineering.
- Proven experience leading the static engineering discipline in EPC and/or FPSO projects.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong knowledge of static equipment and package design, materials, corrosion considerations, and fabrication practices.
