About the job

Plays a key role in collaborating with cross-functional teams in developing, executing and monitoring the company’s business strategies and performance as well as conducting analyses and report preparation for management’s decision making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Track, monitor and report company’s key performance indicators and key strategic initiatives, providing recommendations based on fact-based analyses to ensure the company achieves its business targets.
  • Work closely with department leads and Senior Management Team (SMT) to ensure that the Company's business objectives are met.
  • Lead/Assist with the implementation transformational initiatives that will help the Company achieve its aspirations and objectives.
  • Work with business managers to ensure that key performance measurements are relevant and support the overall business direction and strategies.
  • Facilitate the preparation of departmental and company’s business plans for necessary approvals.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify process gaps, weaknesses, and stress faced by key departments in the organisation. Suggest ways to resolve these issues smoothly and efficiently.
  • Provide or collate analyses on key industry issues and trends, competitor analyses, benchmarking, and other key indicators.
  • Prepare management reports and ad hoc reports for the CEO's office, such as quarterly dialogues, Board presentations, Townhall presentations, etc.
  • Prepare management meeting minutes.
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.


We are looking for people who has

  • Degree in any discipline with a strong understanding of finance, accounting, actuarial science, or corporate strategy.
  • Mathematically inclined.
  • People management skills and strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to deal with all levels of staff, especially senior levels.
  • Project management skills.
  • Analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate strategy, business consulting, or project management.
  • Relevant computer skills: Macro, Tableau, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Exposure to coding and the ability to use analytical tools is an added advantage.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Company operations and workarounds.
  • Awareness of trends and developments in the local and global insurance/takaful industry.
  • Knowledge of competitor practices, strategies, and financial positions.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
