Responsibilities

Hiring: Java Developer

Work Location: Cyberjaya, Malaysia

Job Type: 1-Year Contract (Extendable)

Role Overview

We are looking for a strong Java Developer to join our technology team in Cyberjaya. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, APIs, databases, and modern cloud/DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java & Spring Boot.
  • Build rich, modular, and responsive web applications using Angular & TypeScript.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs and work with event-driven/messaging systems.
  • Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, optimize queries, and manage data integration.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud environments.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
  • Take ownership of complex technical areas with minimal supervision.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving coding practices and code quality.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and technical outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java & Spring Boot.
  • Good experience with Angular & TypeScript.
  • Experience working in Agile development teams, with exposure to leadership or mentoring.
  • Working knowledge of asynchronous messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning across API, database, and front-end layers.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, Docker/containerized deployments is preferred.
  • Experience using modern engineering AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or AI code assistants.
  • Exposure to Agentic AI concepts, LLM-based automation, n8n, or RAG frameworks will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
