Responsibilities

Company Description MIE INDUSTRIAL SDN BHD is engaged in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) projects for major industrial clients.

Role Description The Construction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan, responsible for overseeing all construction activities for assigned EPCC projects. This role manages daily site operations, including planning, organizing, and coordinating construction work, and leading teams of engineers, supervisors, QA/QC personnel, and site workers to meet project milestones and safety requirements. The Construction Manager monitors progress, controls budgets and schedules, and ensures that construction work complies with design specifications, Technical Specifications, local authority regulations, and client standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and construction plans, resolving site issues, conducting safety and quality inspections, reporting project status to management and clients, and collaborating with procurement, engineering, and commissioning teams. The role also supports risk management, implements construction best practices, and drives continuous improvement in site productivity and safety performance.

Qualifications

  • Strong Supervisory Skills with experience leading multidisciplinary construction teams and coordinating on-site activities.
  • Proficiency in Project Control and Budgeting, including planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and cost management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Construction and Construction Safety, with the ability to enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance on industrial project sites.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in EPCC or industrial projects, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemical, or related sectors.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical and instrumentation documents, and technical specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder communication skills, with proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with local regulations, Petronas Technical Specifications, and relevant industrial codes and standards.
  • Competence in using project management and office software (e.g., MS Project or similar, MS Office).
