Chinese University Of Hong Kong Hiring! Full Time Research Assistant in New Territories, Hong Kong - Ricebowl

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or a Master's degree in Biomedical, Biological Science or related disciplines; (ii) hands-on experience in tissue culture and molecular biology techniques; (iii) proficiency in nucleic acid extraction, PCR, cloning, and sequencing workflows; (iv) experience in handling clinical samples; (v) a strong sense of responsibility, excellent attention to detail; and (vi) the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team. Those with relevant experience in bioinformatics analysis will be an advantage. 

The appointee will participate in cancer research projects and work closely with other researchers in the Department at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin. He/She will be responsible for (a) performing sequencing; (b) maintaining laboratory records and assisting in general laboratory management; (c) supporting ongoing research projects and contributing to experimental design and data interpretation; and (d) carrying out any other ad-hoc research tasks as assigned by the supervisor. The appointee will be expected to conduct cancer research under supervision at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin.  

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
