POSITION SUMMARY

The Installation Assistant provides hands-on support to the installation team in the preparation and installation of stainless-steel gates and related hardware. The role involves assisting with pre-installation preparation, on-site installation activities, and post-installation tasks. The position works closely with senior installers to ensure assigned installation work is completed safely, efficiently, and following the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while progressively developing technical skills through structured on-the-job training.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pre-Installation Support

· Prepare and inspect tools, equipment, hardware, and gate components for assigned installation work.

· Assist in loading, securing and unloading finished products, tools and equipment for transportation to and from job sites.

· Assist with installation preparation and site setup.

On-Site Installation Support

· Assist senior installers with positioning, levelling, alignment, drilling, bolting, and securing gate panels and hardware.

· Handle tools, equipment and materials safely and in accordance with work instructions.

· Assist with adjustments, testing and basic troubleshooting under the supervision of senior installers.

· Keep the work area safe, clean and organized throughout the installation.

Post-Installation Support

· Assist in testing gate functionality including but not limited to swing operation, locks, and safety sensors where applicable.

· Clean, inspect and properly store tools and equipment after each installation.

· Clear installation debris and restore the work area to a clean and orderly condition before leaving the job site.

· Promptly report any damaged tools, equipment, materials or finished products, as well as any site-related issues, to the supervisor.

Teamwork, Safety and Development

· Work closely with the team to complete assigned work safely and on schedule.

· Follow all Company SOPs, work instructions, and safety requirements, including use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, tools, equipment, and storage areas.

· Participate actively in on-the-job training and progressively take on additional responsibilities as competency develops.

· Take on additional responsibilities as competency develops.

· Perform other duties reasonably assigned by the supervisor or Management from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Fresh school leavers are welcome to apply.

· No prior experience required, structured training will be provided.

· Physically fit for manual work, including but not limited to lifting and handling gate components and standing for extended work hours.

· Hardworking, responsible, committed, reliable, and able to follow SOPs and work instructions.

· Willing to travel to job sites across Johor and outstation locations when required.

· Prior experience in construction, ironwork, or gate installation is an added advantage.

· Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and good teamwork skills.

· Good attendance and punctuality.

· Willing to work overtime when required.

· Possesses valid Class D/GDL driving license and own transport, subject to operational requirements.
