Job Description

Job Description

  • Review and interpret M&E drawings, specifications, method statements, and construction schedules before coordinating work with subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) installation works to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and contract requirements.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical issues and coordinate work sequencing to avoid clashes with civil, structural, and architectural works.
  • Monitor site progress, workmanship, and productivity to ensure works are completed in accordance with the project schedule and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate the timely delivery and availability of M&E materials, equipment, and resources to support construction activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure M&E installations comply with project specifications, statutory regulations, and authority requirements.
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, safe work procedures, and maintain good housekeeping at all work areas.
  • Assist in manpower planning, resource allocation, daily work progress reporting, and coordination of site activities.
  • Attend site coordination meetings, inspections, testing and commissioning activities, and resolve site coordination issues promptly.
  • Support project completion activities, including testing and commissioning, defect rectification, inspections, and project handover.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience supervising M&E works for large-scale building, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
  • Experience in LTA projects is preferred and will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of M&E installation standards, construction methods, testing and commissioning procedures, and relevant statutory requirements.
  • Able to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and coordination drawings.
  • Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Familiar with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and quality management requirements.
  • Able to commit to a 6-day work week.
