Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultancy on customer network provisioning, design, and migration strategies.

  • Collaborate with IT and vendors on system portal development, auto-provisioning workflows, and new NNI network setups

  • Deliver Tier 2 technical support, resolving service installation issues and managing IP resource allocation.

  • Conduct pre-sales resource assessments and verification for new customer engagements.

  • Advise on platform and customer migrations, including router/switch configuration and cutover planning.

  • Design and implement Layer 2 transport architectures (E-Line, E-Tree, E-LAN) using Metro Ethernet standards.

  • Configure 802.1Q VLAN tagging and QinQ, including physical trunk/sub-interface setup and carrier-side VLAN translation.

  • Map Layer 2 circuits to public cloud entry points (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Google Cloud Interconnect).

  • Maintain accurate circuit design records, network diagrams, and IP allocation databases.

  • Create and execute MOPs (Method of Procedures) for maintenance windows and service turn-ups.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline

  • 5–8+ years of experience in network design, provisioning, or telecom engineering roles.

  • Strong expertise in Layer 2 Metro Ethernet topologies (E-Line, E-Tree, E-LAN).

  • Hands-on experience with 802.1Q VLAN tagging, QinQ, and carrier VLAN translation.

  • Proven track record integrating Layer 2 circuits with cloud on-ramps (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, GCP Interconnect).

  • Proficiency in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and IP addressing/subnetting.builtin+2

  • Experience with router/switch configuration (Cisco, Juniper, H3C, or similar).

  • Familiarity with firewall platforms (Fortigate, Venustech)

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for service installation and IP resource issues.

  • Excellent communication skills for client-facing consultancy and vendor coordination.
