SEA Limited Hiring! Full Time Data Engineer-Senior Engineer in - Ricebowl

You will be part of Sea’s HQ Finance department, which plays an integral role in supporting the accounting and finance needs of our three core businesses (Garena, Shopee, Monee) and across our diverse regional market presence. Within the department, the Group Data function builds and maintains scalable data infrastructure through data ingestion, transformation, and warehousing via robust ETL pipelines, while also developing web-based tools that enable efficient access and interaction with data systems to support accurate reporting and analysis. You will be involved in the establishment of end-to-end data initiatives, from designing data models, developing ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and modelling to the development of applications, automation and AI-enabled solutions that allow users to interact with and derive greater value from Finance data.

• Deliver end-to-end data solutions to support users’ use cases across businesses and markets
• Collect data from various data sources, design scalable ingestion, transformation and data modeling solutions for the data warehouse
• Develop, test and maintain reliable ETL pipelines using various technologies
• Monitor data pipelines and investigate data quality, reliability and performance issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements
• Collaborate with data platform engineers to embed AI-enabled solutions in shared frameworks, platform capabilities and engineering standards
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing data solutions and workflows, turning underlying data infrastructure into practical AI-enabled solutions for users
• Support data quality and governance, ensuring that data, scripts and documentation meet relevant compliance requirements and establishment of future innovation

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of relevant full-time working experience in a Data related role
• Deep understanding of SQL and Python are required
• Experience with PySpark is preferred
• Hands-on experience in AI-enabled data solutions, automation, or prototyping
• Passionate about programming and new technologies in the field
• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, works effectively in teams, and shows a high level of ownership as a self-learner
