Smartlink Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysian contract manufacturing company serving the semiconductor and high-technology industries. We specialise in industrial automation equipment, precision machinery, electrical and mechanical assemblies, control panels and system integration.

We are looking for a Junior Executive – Material Planning to support our production and material planning activities.

The successful candidate will be based at our Seksyen 32, Shah Alam facility and will transition to our new Sijangkang facility by January 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Planning & Control:

• Review production orders and material requirements based on production schedules.
• Monitor material availability and identify shortages or potential risks.
• Prepare and update material shortage lists.
• Follow up on pending and critical materials with relevant departments.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Purchasing to ensure materials are available for production.

BOM & Production Order:

• Check BOM, part numbers, quantities and material requirements.
• Identify discrepancies between BOM, production orders and available stock.
• Coordinate with Engineering on BOM or material-related issues.
• Ensure relevant system updates are completed accurately.

ERP / MRP System:

• Update material transactions, production orders and related information in the ERP/MRP system.
• Monitor system data and follow up on discrepancies.
• Ensure material and production information is updated accurately and on time.

Production & Department Coordination:

• Coordinate with Production on material readiness and requirements.
• Provide updates on material shortages and potential production delays.
• Work closely with Warehouse, Purchasing and Engineering to resolve material-related issues.
• Follow up on urgent material requirements according to production needs.

Inventory & Material Monitoring:

• Monitor material usage and availability.
• Support material kitting and transfer to Production.
• Assist in investigating discrepancies between system and physical stock.
• Support material traceability and inventory control activities.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Material Management, Logistics, Manufacturing or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in material planning, production planning, inventory control or manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of BOM, material requirements and inventory control.
• Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems will be an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in cable harness, wire assembly or contract manufacturing will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
