Job Description
Responsibilities
The Software System Architect will lead the architecture, design and development of embedded software, firmware and application-level solutions for high-performance security products. The role involves defining system architecture, guiding technical decisions, leading engineering teams and ensuring successful product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Define end-to-end software architecture, system interfaces and technical roadmaps.
Translate product requirements into scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.
Design, develop, integrate and validate embedded software and firmware.
Customize embedded Linux platforms such as
Yocto and PetaLinux
, with exposure to RTOS/bare-metal systems.
Lead application-level software development, system integration, performance tuning and testing.
Lead and mentor software engineers and conduct architecture, design, code and test reviews.
Drive best practices in secure coding, DevOps, CI/CD and software engineering.
Troubleshoot complex system and architectural issues and guide technical decisions.
Collaborate with product/project teams, hardware engineers, vendors and customers.
Maintain architecture/design documentation and ensure compliance with quality and cybersecurity standards.
Requirements
Minimum
5 years’ experience
in embedded systems/software development, with experience in software architecture and technical leadership.
Strong proficiency in
C/C++, Rust, Python and Bash
.
Strong experience with
Embedded Linux
, including OS customization, kernel configuration and build systems such as Yocto/PetaLinux.
Good understanding of hardware-software integration, system debugging and performance optimization.
Strong networking knowledge covering
Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, routing, switching and network security
.
Familiarity with cloud computing and software deployment environments.
Experience with
DevOps, CI/CD, GitLab and Docker
.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and technical leadership skills.
Preferred
Experience with Linux kernel drivers, BSPs, low-level firmware, FPGA/SoC or hardware-accelerated platforms.
Exposure to C#, web frameworks or GUI development.
Knowledge of
SSDLC and secure coding
.
Experience with
security products, cryptographic applications, HSM, KMS or secure communications
.
