Job Description

Responsibilities

KeyResponsibilities:

  • OCS Optical Structure Assembly & Integration: Develop and optimize the assembly processes for the complex 3D free-space optical structure of the OCS system. Ensure the precise spatial integration and mounting of core structural components, including MEMS arrays, MLA, FAU, relay lenses, and mechanical housings.
  • Precision Alignment & Stress-Free Fixing: Design and implement high-precision active and passive optical alignment processes. Establish robust dispensing, UV/thermal curing, and mechanical fixing processes, strictly managing structural stress and thermal expansion to ensure optimal coupling efficiency and long-term structural stability.

·       Material & Adhesive Selection: Lead the evaluation, selection, andqualification of critical materials, structural components, and opticaladhesives (e.g., UV/thermal curing epoxies, index-matching materials). Ensureselected materials meet stringent requirements for CTE matching, curingshrinkage, low outgassing, and long-term reliability in free-space opticalpaths.

  • Process Development & Prototyping: Drive the process development for OCS optical modules. Design and optimize specialized tools and fixtures for the handling, alignment, and assembly of delicate OCS optical structures. Translate opto-mechanical design requirements into executable assembly steps and create comprehensive documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process flowcharts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience in optical communication manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on complex opto-mechanical structure assembly, micro-optics alignment, and precision fixing techniques.
  • Deep understanding of the mechanical and thermal properties of optical materials, structural metals, and optical adhesives. Familiarity with managing structural tolerances, stress relief, and thermal shifts in free-space optical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with automated alignment equipment (e.g., 6-axis stages), precision motion control systems, and optical measurement tools.
  • Experience with the structural assembly of OCS, WSS, MEMS-based optical devices or optical transceivers is highly preferred. Strong ability to bridge the gap between optical design and physical realization.
