Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Supervisor / Manager to support physical oil products trading and logistics operations, coordinate post-trade activities, and ensure smooth contract execution. This role requires effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, meticulous documentation, and proactive problem-solving to optimise operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and minimise costs.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all contractual obligations and compliance requirements are properly fulfilled.
- Coordinate with cargo counterparties, terminals, vessels, inspectors, agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and timely exchange of information.
- Manage cargo and vessel nominations, prepare and issue voyage orders, and monitor vessel progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of operational activities in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Implement appropriate financial security arrangements and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Monitor and manage oil product supply and inventory across the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring timely updates on cargo status, effective scheduling, and risk mitigation.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Support traders by providing relevant market intelligence and assisting with business development initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with trading counterparties and key stakeholders.
- Provide relevant operational and trading data to local and headquarters finance and audit teams as required.
- Support the continuous improvement of business operations and overall operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking colleagues and business associates.
- At least 3 years of experience in oil products trading operations and execution; hands-on experience in oil logistics operations is preferred.
- Strong logical thinking, commercial acumen, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Able to work flexibly, perform effectively under tight deadlines, and handle a high-pressure working environment.
