Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Audit Manager role based in Singapore. The Audit Manager will lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion, including risk assessments, audit strategy development, and review of working papers and deliverables. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching audit team members, coordinating with clients to gather information, resolving technical accounting and audit issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Audit Manager will review financial statements and reports, provide value-added recommendations, manage timelines and budgets, and contribute to internal process improvements and quality control initiatives.


Key responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of audit engagements, from planning through completion and reporting.
  • Ensure audits comply with Singapore Standards on Auditing, applicable financial reporting standards and the firm’s quality management policies.
  • Review audit working papers and financial statements, resolve technical issues and communicate significant findings to the engagement partner.
  • Supervise, coach and develop audit staff, providing timely feedback on performance.
  • Coordinate with clients, component auditors and other stakeholders to meet engagement deadlines.
  • Manage engagement budgets, staffing and work allocation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve audit quality and efficiency.
  • Support client proposals and business development activities.


Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or a recognised professional qualification, such as CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
  • At least five years of external audit experience, including experience supervising teams and managing engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore Standards on Auditing and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, including SFRS(I).
  • Strong analytical, communication and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver quality work within deadlines.
  • Experience with group audits and consolidation is an advantage.
  • Prior experience with a mid-sized audit firm or a Big Four firm is a plus.
