  • As our Korea business transitions from a Principal-led operating model to a marketing agency model, we’re strengthening our local finance capabilities to support the next stage of growth. We’re looking for an experienced finance professional who can bridge local financial requirements with regional reporting and help establish strong, scalable processes for the market.

About The Role

  • In this role, you’ll serve as an important link between Korea business owners, the General Manager, our regional Finance team in Kuala Lumpur and external accounting and tax service providers. You’ll be responsible for communicating financial results, managing cash flow and owner-related claims, supporting tax compliance and ensuring financial information is accurate, timely and well documented.
  • You’ll also play an important role in strengthening Korea’s finance operating model by reviewing existing outsourced arrangements, identifying opportunities to bring selected activities in-house and helping establish efficient processes as the business evolves.

Core Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Business Partnering

– Prepare, review and communicate financial results and key performance metrics to Korea business owners and the regional HQ Finance team.

– Act as the primary finance point of contact for Korea owners on financial queries and reporting requirements.

– Liaise closely with the Hubs Finance team in Kuala Lumpur to obtain, reconcile and clarify financial information.

  • Cash Flow & Owner Claims Management

– Monitor and manage weekly cash flow requirements for Korea business owners.

– Coordinate and track owner withdrawals, claims and related payment processes.

– Ensure all fund movements are properly documented, supported and recorded.

  • Tax Compliance & Coordination

– Coordinate the transition from the existing Principal accounting firm to a suitable Korean accounting and tax service provider.

– Coordinate Value Added Tax (VAT) preparation and quarterly VAT submissions.

– Support Corporate Income Tax filings and related compliance requirements.

– Coordinate payroll-related taxes, withholding tax and other applicable tax obligations.

– Ensure Korea operations comply with relevant local tax and statutory regulations with support from appointed professional service providers.

  • Statutory Compliance & Audit Support

– Support statutory audits, tax reviews and regulatory enquiries where required.

– Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, service providers and internal stakeholders throughout audit and review processes.

– Prepare and organise supporting schedules, reconciliations and documentation required for audits or statutory submissions.

  • Finance Process Improvement

– Review existing Korea finance and accounting processes to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, accuracy and control.

– Support the transition of selected finance activities from outsourced providers to internal administration where appropriate.

– Work with the Regional Financial Controller to establish clear finance processes and responsibilities under the new marketing agency operating model.

  • Stakeholder & Service Provider Management

– Build strong working relationships with Korea business owners, the General Manager and regional Finance stakeholders.

– Coordinate effectively with external accounting, tax and audit service providers.

– Act as a bridge between local stakeholders and regional teams on finance-related matters.

Who We Are Looking For

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

– Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA or Korean CPA (KICPA) is preferred.

– Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.

– Strong working knowledge of Korean accounting, taxation and statutory requirements.

Language Requirements

– Fluent Korean, both written and spoken, is mandatory.

– Proficient English, both written and spoken, is required for communication with regional stakeholders.
