Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Company’s day-to-day finance operations, including full-set accounting, financial reporting, month-end closing and management reporting for Malaysia and Singapore entities.
- Manage and supervise the finance executive handling ERP/accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, effective processes and appropriate financial controls.
- Own the monthly closing and reporting process, including preparation and review of management accounts and actual-versus-budget analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including accountants, auditors, shareholders and financial advisors, to ensure accurate and timely financial operations and reporting.
- Manage the relationship with external auditors and oversee the annual audit process, including audit schedules, supporting documentation and resolution of audit queries.
- Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts and strategic plans to support sustainable business growth.
- Partner with management and business teams to provide financial insights, performance analysis and recommendations for decision-making and resource allocation.
- Analyze financial statements, P&L reports and performance dashboards to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and recommend improvements to operational and financial performance.
- Provide management with visibility into key financial metrics and business performance to support informed operational decisions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and relevant legal requirements, while maintaining accurate and timely accounting records.
- Drive improvements in finance processes, controls and operational efficiency through technology, automation, AI and digital tools, while supporting new financial guidelines, procedures, risk management and scalable processes.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant finance/ accounting experience, preferably in a start-up, growing or technology-focused company.
- Strong hands-on experience in full-set accounting, including month-end closing, management reporting, reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Proven experience managing external auditors and the annual audit process.
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate financial information into practical business insights.
- Hands-on experience with Singapore accounting, financial reporting and tax requirements is highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reporting and modelling.
- Experience with finance technology, AI and process automation, including VBA, Excel automation, ERP optimisation, data visualisation and business intelligence tools to develop practical solutions to improve finance processes is an added advantage.
