Job Summary
The UX/UI Designer is responsible for designing intuitive, visually engaging, and user-focused digital experiences across interactive multimedia and exhibition projects. This role works closely with creative, production, content, and technical teams to translate project concepts and user requirements into clear user journeys, interaction flows, wireframes, and polished visual interfaces.
The designer will contribute throughout the design process, from concept development and UX planning to UI design, prototyping, production handoff, and implementation review. The role requires a strong balance of visual design, interaction thinking, and practical understanding of how digital experiences are implemented across touchscreens, interactive displays, kiosks, and other multimedia platforms.
Key Responsibilities
UX & Interaction Design
- Develop user journeys, information architecture, interaction flows, wireframes, and screen structures based on project objectives and user needs.
- Translate creative concepts, content requirements, and technical constraints into intuitive and practical interactive experiences.
- Consider different user behaviours, viewing environments, screen formats, and interaction methods when developing UX solutions.
- Create interactive prototypes to communicate navigation, functionality, transitions, and user interactions to internal teams, clients, and developers.
UI & Visual Design
- Design visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces for touchscreens, interactive displays, kiosks, and other digital multimedia experiences.
- Develop UI layouts, visual systems, typography, icons, buttons, navigation elements, and other interface components in alignment with the overall creative direction.
- Adapt designs across different screen sizes, resolutions, aspect ratios, and display configurations while maintaining visual and functional consistency.
- Prepare design systems, UI guidelines, component libraries, and production-ready design assets for implementation.
Design Production & Implementation
- Work closely with developers and technical teams to ensure designs are practical, clearly documented, and accurately implemented.
- Prepare organised design files, specifications, assets, and interaction references for development handoff.
- Review implemented interfaces and provide design feedback throughout development, testing, and refinement.
- Support design iterations based on internal reviews, client feedback, usability considerations, and technical requirements.
Project Collaboration
- Collaborate with Creative Directors, Multimedia Designers, Producers, Content Teams, Developers, and Technical Teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in project discussions and contribute UX/UI recommendations based on creative concepts, content requirements, and technical feasibility.
- Communicate design ideas, interaction logic, and visual decisions clearly through presentations, prototypes, and design documentation.
- Manage multiple design tasks and project deadlines while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Review interactive experiences during development to ensure visual accuracy, usability, and consistency with approved designs.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), interface testing, and onsite reviews where required.
- Identify and resolve UI inconsistencies, usability issues, and design implementation problems before final deployment.
- Ensure final interactive experiences meet both creative expectations and practical user requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in UX/UI, interaction design, digital design, or a related discipline.
- Strong visual design skills with a good understanding of layout, typography, hierarchy, colour, and interface design principles.
- Experience developing user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready UI designs.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design tools.
- Strong understanding of interaction design and user-centred design principles.
- Ability to translate creative concepts and complex information into clear, intuitive digital experiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple design tasks and project deadlines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with creative, production, and technical teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on visual consistency, usability, and production quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in UX/UI, interaction, digital media, multimedia, or related design fields.
- Experience designing for interactive exhibitions, touchscreens, kiosks, or other digital experiences is preferred.
- Familiarity with motion design, multimedia production workflows, and collaboration with developers and creative teams.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design, UX/UI thinking, and interactive design capabilities.

Pay: $25,000.00 - $30,000.00 per month
