About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and organized Science Lab Technical Officer cum Operational Support Staff to support our school's Science Department operations and assist with administrative and reception duties during downtime.

Key Responsibilities

1. Science Laboratory Support & Maintenance

• Assist teachers in setting up and clearing experiment equipment and lesson materials before and after classes.

• Prepare, arrange, and organize lab equipment, specimens, and teaching resources.

• Conduct regular checks to ensure lab equipment is functional and maintained; report faulty or damaged items for repair or replacement.

• Uphold strict safety standards and ensure proper lab practices/housekeeping are followed.

2. General Office & Operational Support

(During lab downtime, assembly, recess, and dismissal times)

• Reception & Visitor Management: Welcome visitors/parents, handle walk-in inquiries, monitor visitor access, and guide visitors to appropriate departments.

• Mail & Courier Handling: Receive, sort, distribute, and record incoming/outgoing mail and packages.

• Office Administration: Maintain inventory of office supplies, keep reception/pantry areas organized, and handle student/parent inquiries.

• Packing & Logistics: Sort, pack, label, and document office supplies, materials, or event materials.

• General Cleaning: Assist with basic sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces in the General Office and pantry area.
