Job Title:Packaging Developer – Gourmet Tea & Beverage FMCG

Job Summary:We are seeking a creative, technical, and sustainability-minded Packaging Developer to join our Product & Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, testing, and implementation of innovative packaging solutions across our artisan tea, ready-to-drink (RTD), and gift set portfolios. You will balance luxury aesthetics, functional structural integrity, cost efficiency, and environmental sustainability to elevate our brand presence across retail, e-commerce, and international distribution.
Key Responsibilities:

• Structural Packaging & Material Development: Conceptualize, engineer, and source primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials tailored for gourmet teas, botanicals, and beverage products.
• Prototyping & Technical Validation: Develop structural Dielines, 3D prototypes, and technical specifications; perform rigorous stability, barrier-property, transit, and shelf-life testing to ensure product protection and quality.
• Sustainable Packaging Initiatives: Research and introduce eco-friendly, biodegradable, and recyclable materials to advance the company's sustainability goals without compromising on luxury aesthetics.
• Vendor & Supplier Management: Collaborate closely with local and overseas packaging manufacturers, printers, and material suppliers to negotiate technical specifications, manage tooling, and ensure quality control.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Graphics/Design teams to ensure seamless artwork execution, and work with R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to optimize packaging efficiency on manufacturing and packing lines.
• Regulatory Compliance & Standards: Ensure all packaging labeling, material safety, and food-contact compliance conform to Singapore Food Agency (SFA) guidelines, international export regulations, and FSC/ISO standards.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Material Science, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on packaging development experience within the FMCG, Food & Beverage, Consumer Goods, or Luxury Packaging sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of food-grade packaging materials (e.g., flexible films, tin, rigid boxes, paperboards, biodegradable substrates) and printing/finishing techniques (e.g., foil stamping, embossing, spot UV).
• Proficiency in structural design and technical drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, or Adobe Creative Suite) is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of food safety requirements, barrier properties, transit testing standards (ISTA), and packaging production processes.
• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills with strong attention to visual and structural detail.
