About the role

This is a Quantity Surveyor position in the construction industry, responsible for managing project costs, contracts, and procurement. The role involves preparing detailed financial documentation, managing supplier relationships, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring compliance with construction regulations and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost plans, budgets, tender documentation, bills of quantities, and financial forecasts

• Assist in preparing and managing contracts, including negotiation, award, and post-contract administration

• Engage with and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and contractors for material and service procurement

• Monitor expenditures, assess progress claims and variation orders, and implement cost-saving measures

• Conduct site measurements, valuations, and work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers

• Prepare project cost tracking, progress claims and subcontractor payments details

• Submit progress reports, final accounts, and ensure accurate documentation and cash flow monitoring

• Ensure adherence to construction laws, safety regulations, and contractual obligations

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field

• 2-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry (Junior level) or 5 years and above (Senior level)

• Proficiency in construction-specific software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD)

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, procurement, and contract law

• Capable of handling both pre- and post-contract duties

• Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills

• Strong communication abilities for collaboration with various stakeholders

• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently or in teams

• Proactive, responsible, and adaptable to project demands

• Willingness to travel to project sites if required
