Responsibilities

Job Summary

Support legal research, documentation, contract matters, litigation, and legal administration while gaining practical exposure to a dynamic Legal function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research into relevant laws, regulations, and legal issues.
  • Assist with the preliminary review and drafting of contracts, agreements, letters, and other legal documentation.
  • Analyse and consolidate data, information, and supporting documents to identify relevant facts, discrepancies, trends, and legal issues.
  • Assist in preparing chronological logs, summaries, and factual analyses for litigation, disputes, and legal advisory matters.
  • Cross-check and reconcile information across contracts, correspondence, invoices, claims, payment records, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in managing and organising litigation and dispute-related documentation and evidence.
  • Draft legal summaries, internal memoranda, meeting notes, and progress reports.
  • Maintain and systematically organise legal files, contract records, and databases.
  • Monitor key legal deadlines, action items, and required follow-ups.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather and consolidate information necessary for legal matters.
  • Assist with contract execution, stamping, filing, and ongoing record-keeping.
  • Perform additional legal, analytical, and administrative duties as assigned by Legal Counsel.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) or an equivalent legal qualification.
  • Strong legal research, factual analysis, and basic contract drafting skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication and drafting abilities.
  • Highly organised, dependable, and capable of managing documentation, databases, and strict legal deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable using digital filing systems.
  • Proactive team player with high integrity, strong discretion, and a commitment to strict confidentiality.
