Role Description

We are looking for a Warranty Officer to join our After Sales team in Perai. This role is responsible for managing warranty claims, documentation, and coordination with the Workshop and Parts teams in accordance with BYD Malaysia warranty requirements. This role involves:

• Prepare and submit warranty claims according to BYD Malaysia requirements
• Check Repair Orders and supporting documents before claim submission
• Monitor warranty claim status, approvals, and rejected claims
• Ensure warranty documentation and technical supporting evidence are complete and accurate
• Maintain proper warranty records for reference and audit purposes
• Ensure claims are submitted within the required timeline
• Coordinate with Service Advisors, Technicians, Workshop Foreman, and Parts Department
• Follow up on pending, queried, or rejected warranty claims
• Assist with claim corrections and resubmissions where required
• Identify common reasons for claim rejection and highlight them to Management
• Coordinate warranty parts requirements and warranty parts return where applicable
• Keep updated on BYD warranty policies, campaigns, and relevant updates
• Assist with warranty campaigns and recalls when required
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information
• Perform other duties as assigned by the After Sales Manager or Management

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Automotive, Business Administration, or a related field
• Preferably 1–3 years of experience in automotive warranty or after-sales operations
• Good understanding of automotive repair and servicing processes
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Computer literate and able to meet claim submission deadlines
• Organized, responsible, and able to work effectively with different departments
• EV or BYD warranty experience is an advantage

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
