THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED AT THE R&D CENTRE IN BUKIT RAJA, KLANG

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop an understanding of the current and future industry needs in the food ingredients industry under changing regulatory requirements & growing end-user desire for more sustainable products.
• Able to design, plan, and conduct experiments with minimal guidance.
• Able to perform physicochemical characterisations and performance evaluations of ingredients and formulated products according to compendial or non-routine approaches with minimal guidance.
• Able to interpret results using appropriate statistical tools and develop theoretical models capable of predicting the properties of novel compounds and formulations with minimal guidance.
• Provide guidance and support to Researcher I on their projects as needed.

JOB SUCCESS REQUIREMENTS

• Master's in Applied Chemistry of Food Science with 4-5 years of relevant industrial/academic experience.
• PhD in Applied Chemistry or Food Science with 3-4 years of relevant industrial/academic experience.
• Life Science graduates will not be considered.
• Technical knowledge in colloidal science and food process technology.
• Adequate experience in food ingredients, product formulation, and evaluation.
• Hands-on knowledge in physicochemical characterization of products, including related instrument application.
• Prior experience in computational experiment data modelling is a plus.
• Ability to achieve and maintain high standards with meticulous attention to detail.
• High level of creativity and productivity with strong problem-solving skills.
