  • Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback that supports continuous improvement.
  • Monitor student learning and provide academic guidance, office hours or other support as appropriate.
  • Apply academic policies and standards consistently and refer significant academic integrity or student-progress matters through appropriate School processes.

Student Mentorship

  • Advise and mentor students on academic and career-related matters within the scope of the role.
  • Support students' development by providing relevant disciplinary, professional and learning resources.

Curriculum, Pedagogy & Professional Development

  • Contribute to curriculum development, course review and continuous improvement in collaboration with Faculty and programme teams.
  • Stay current with relevant disciplinary developments, business practices, pedagogical approaches and instructional technologies.
  • Develop and adopt effective and interactive teaching methods for classroom, online and blended learning.
  • Engage in professional development and, where appropriate, pedagogical, applied or academic scholarship.

Academic Quality & Institutional Contribution

  • Ensure assigned courses and teaching activities are aligned with relevant MQA, AACSB and School requirements and maintain appropriate documentation for quality assurance and audit purposes.
  • Collaborate with Faculty, instructors, Academic Managers and programme teams to enhance programme quality and student experience.
  • Contribute to academic and institutional activities consistent with the scope of the role.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and work effectively with faculty, students, staff and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment and a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced academic environment.
  • Commitment to academic quality, student learning, confidentiality and professional standards.
  • Competence with learning management systems and digital learning tools; experience with Moodle and/or Open edX is desirable.

Qualifications & Experience

  • PhD in a relevant discipline from an appropriately accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of advanced training and substantial relevant experience.
  • Typically at least 5 years of relevant teaching, professional or academic experience.
  • Demonstrated capability in classroom, online or blended teaching and student engagement.
  • Academic or applied research experience and interest in academic writing are desirable.

General Expectations

  • Demonstrate and uphold ASB's academic standards, professional expectations and commitment to a high-quality student experience.
  • Undertake other reasonable responsibilities consistent with the scope and level of the role.
  • Detailed operating procedures, response-time expectations, grading timelines, workload arrangements, delivery-mode requirements and compensation provisions are governed separately by relevant School policies and operating guidelines.
