JAKA Robotics Hiring! Full Time Technical Support Engineer in Pulau Pinang - Ricebowl

The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and troubleshooting our product to resolve our customers' technical issues. You will support the customer by acting as the liaison between the customer and other internal teams. Your ability to work in complex networking environment will also make you an ideal candidate. 

Responsibilities

• Install and commission robots on customer sites (mechanics, wiring, software setup, safety checks).
• Troubleshoot breakdowns (mechanical, electrical, software) and replace parts on-site
• Perform preventive maintenance and firmware/software updates on robots and peripherals.
• Train client operators and technicians on usage, safety, and basic maintenance.
• Run product demos and proofs-of-concept for prospects (technical presentation, process testing).
• Support presales with solution with demos, exhibitions and customer visits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical, mechanical, automation or similar (technical diploma)
• Solid understanding of industrial automation: robots, sensors, drives, PLCs, safety, networks
• Basic programming of robots / cobots and possibly PLCs or scripting
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and safe operation of robots and cobots.
• Comfortable working on customer sites, often under time pressure, with frequent travel
• Experience providing on-site training to operators, maintenance, or integrators is highly valued.
• Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis, able to work autonomously on site.
• Good communication skills for demos, training, and presales discussions with non‑experts.
• Service‑minded attitude, patient with customers when things break or projects are late.
