Job Summary

The Business Development Executive supports the Business Development Manager by researching opportunities, preparing client proposals and presentations, coordinating meetings, and following up on business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market, industry, competitor, and prospective client research to identify growth opportunities and market trends
• Analyze research data to prepare summaries, client profiles, competitor comparisons, and business reports
• Develop clear, accurate, and professional proposals, pitch decks, presentation slides, and capability statements for clients
• Organize meeting agendas, background materials, and supporting documents to facilitate effective discussions
• Attend meetings as needed and document key discussions, decisions, action points, and deadlines accurately
• Prepare meeting minutes and follow up with relevant parties to ensure completion of outstanding tasks
• Maintain and update accurate records of prospects, client contacts, proposals, and business opportunities
• Track sales pipelines, activity logs, and management reports to support business development monitoring
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for proposals and client requests
• Support client follow-ups, networking events, conferences, and business development activities
• Utilize approved AI and digital tools to assist with research, drafting, data analysis, presentation preparation, and meeting documentation
• Review and verify AI-generated information before use or sharing to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Handle client and company information with confidentiality and care
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned to support business development functions

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Communications, or related field
• Minimum three years of experience in business development, sales support, market research, corporate services, business advisory, or related roles
• Demonstrated research and analytical skills applied to business contexts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing professional proposals, reports, presentations, and meeting minutes
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for document and presentation preparation
• Familiarity with AI tools and digital productivity platforms to enhance research and documentation efficiency
• Effective organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience preparing business proposals, pitch decks, market reports, or management presentations
• Experience using CRM systems, research tools, or project management platforms to support business processes
• Background in corporate services, company incorporation, compliance, or professional services
• Commercial awareness and understanding of the business development process
