Job Description
Responsibilities
Monitor and review the master construction program, identifying potential delays and preparing catch-up plans where necessary
Supervise and coordinate site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, structural design, quality standards and safety regulations
Oversee and verify structural works execution including foundation, rebar installation, concrete works, steel structures, precast elements and temporary works (ERSS, falsework, formwork, scaffolding)
Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site teams, ensuring efficient allocation of manpower, materials and equipment while maintaining high workmanship standards
Resolve drawing discrepancies and technical challenges, coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure constructability and compliance with regulations
Prepare and maintain site documentation including method statements, risk assessments, work instructions, construction sequences and progress reports for safe and efficient execution
Conduct structural testing and inspections such as load tests, material strength tests and integrity assessments, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Liaise with consultants and regulatory authorities (e.g., BCA, LTA, PUB) for inspections, approvals, and submission of reports.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
Minimum 3 years of experience within the construction industry, preferably on large-scale building or infrastructure projects
Experience with AutoCAD and BIM software is preferred
