Job Summary

The Principal Cloud Architect will be accountable for shaping a regulator-credible, implementation-ready cloud architectures for large-scale public sector programmes in Singapore and the region. Focus will extend from early design-led, decision-forcing activities to remove ambiguity and align with key business imperatives, through design leadership and technical governance during build and multi-vendor delivery. Exposure to pre/sales will be beneficial.

Experience

The role requires experience designing enterprise cloud platforms in Singapore public sector (e.g. MOH, LTA, GovTech, ministries, agencies, statutory boards), working across regulatory, cyber, and delivery constraints. The candidate must be able to address multiple stakeholder groups while producing a design that is practical, auditable, and delivery-ready. Whilst this is primarily a delivery role, experience shaping architectures – including cost & risk tradeoffs – as part a sales cycles, will be beneficial.

Cloud Platform Design (ESSENTIAL)

Experience designing enterprise cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Singapore Government Cloud variants). Strong understanding of landing zones, identity, security, networking, and multi-account architectures. Able to design environments any SI/MSP can implement and operate.

Experience in shaping architectures – including sizing/ Bill of Material (BOM) creation, cost & risk tradeoffs – as part a sales cycle.

Singapore Public Sector Context (ESSENTIAL)

Hands-on experience working within Singapore Government environments. Strong understanding of IM8, security requirements, audit expectations, and regulatory evidence requirements. Familiarity Tech Stack; with focus on Cloud Architecture is required.

Design Governance Leadership (ESSENTIAL)

Ability to operate within a Design Authority model. Lead structured design reviews, arbitrate between cyber, data, and platform constraints, and produce decision logs, assumptions, and trade-offs explicitly.

Stakeholder Leadership

Daily interaction with senior client stakeholders, delivery partners, cyber and data leads, and partner (specifically AWS, Microsoft and Google) ecosystem. Ability to align multiple parties while maintaining architectural integrity, independence, and alignment with strategic business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technology or a related field

Experience

· 15+ years of experience in:

o technology consulting firms or

o Government / public sector transformation roles

· Strong experience working with:

o Singapore government agencies / GovTech ecosystem

o Large-scale transformation programs
