Job Title: Delivery Driver

JobSummary

We are looking for a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering hardware, building materials, and other products safely and efficiently to customers and job sites.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport hardware and building materials.
• Load and unload goods while ensuring products are handled carefully.
• Deliver orders to customers, businesses, and construction/job sites according to scheduled routes.
• Verify delivery orders, quantities, and products before leaving the store/warehouse.
• Obtain delivery confirmations and customer signatures when required.
• Assist with securing and organizing goods for safe transportation.
• Perform basic vehicle safety checks before and after deliveries.
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the company vehicle.
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
• Report any vehicle issues, delivery problems, damaged goods, or delays to management.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service.
• Assist with warehouse or store duties when required.

Requirements

• Valid driver's licence appropriate for the company vehicle.
• Clean and safe driving record.
• Previous delivery or commercial driving experience is an asset.
• Experience handling hardware, construction materials, or similar products is an asset.
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy items.
• Good knowledge of local roads and delivery areas.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete deliveries according to schedule.

PhysicalRequirements

• Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload products and materials.
• Ability to work outdoors and in different weather conditions when required.
• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
