Customer Solutions Intern – Solar, Battery Storage & Microgrids

About us

Nanyang Power Solutions (NPS) is an NTU spin-off building AI-based energy management for solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and flexible loads. We help commercial, industrial and residential customers lower their electricity costs and earn revenue from the energy market. We are a small, fast-moving team working on projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

What you’ll do

• Join customer meetings and help explain our solutions: residential and C&I solar PV, battery storage, and more complex microgrid projects
• Carry out site visits with the team: roof and site surveys, measurements, photos, and checking electrical rooms and meters
• Collect and analyse customer data such as electricity bills and load profiles to size systems and estimate savings
• Prepare proposals, quotations and presentation slides
• Keep project records and follow up with customers and suppliers
• Support other business development and project work as needed

What we’re looking for

• Undergraduate or recent graduate in electrical, mechanical, environmental or sustainability engineering, or a related field
• Available for at least 6 months, working a minimum of 3 days a week
• Interest in renewable energy and in working directly with customers
• Clear written and spoken English; able to explain technical ideas simply
• Comfortable with site work (rooftops, outdoor, plant rooms) and travel within Singapore
• Good with Excel and PowerPoint, and comfortable using AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) for analysis and writing

Good to have

• Mandarin (we work closely with our team in China)
• Experience with PVsyst, HelioScope or AutoCAD
• Basic Python or data analysis skills
• A driving licence
