Job Description

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.

  • Good knowledge and practical experience in handling full sets of accounts.

  • Familiar with financial reporting, bank reconciliation, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

  • Good understanding of accounting principles and statutory requirements.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with accounting software such as AutoCount, SQL Accounting, UBS, QuickBooks, Xero or similar systems will be an advantage.

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and meet reporting deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail with good numerical and analytical skills.

  • Good organisational and time-management skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to maintain confidentiality when handling financial and company information.

  • Responsible, reliable and committed to maintaining accurate accounting records.

  • Location: Eco Santuar, Tropicana Aman, Bandar Rimbayu, Kota Kemuning

Responsibilities

  • Handle and maintain full sets of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management accounts.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all accounting transactions are recorded accurately and on time.

  • Manage invoicing, collections, payments and cash flow monitoring.

  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer payments.

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure payments are made according to approved terms.

  • Prepare monthly schedules, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset schedules and other supporting accounts.

  • Prepare and maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.

  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary and relevant authorities when required.

  • Assist with annual audit and tax matters by preparing the required schedules and supporting documents.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements.

  • Assist in payroll-related accounting entries and staff claims where applicable.

  • Monitor company expenses and identify discrepancies or unusual transactions.

  • Support management with financial reports and other accounting information required for business decision-making.

  • Improve accounting procedures and internal controls where necessary.

  • Perform other finance, accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.
