Job Description
Singlife is a leading homegrown financial services company, offering consumers a better way to financial freedom. Through innovative, technology-enabled solutions and a wide range of products and services, Singlife provides consumers control over their financial wellbeing at every stage of their lives.

In addition to a comprehensive suite of insurance plans, employee benefits, partnerships with financial adviser channels and bancassurance, Singlife offers investment and advisory solutions through its GROW with Singlife platform. It also offers the Singlife Account, a mobile-first insurance savings plan.

Singlife is the exclusive insurance provider for the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs and Public Officers Group Insurance Scheme. Singlife is also an official signatory of the United Nations Principles for Sustainable Insurance and the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment, affirming its commitment to finding a better way to sustainability.

The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time.

Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

You will support the receipting team in maintaining accurate records, monitoring outstanding items, preparing reports, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency. This role offers valuable exposure to insurance operations, business processes, data analysis, and digital tools within a regulated financial services environment

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and presentations relating to receipting volumes, turnaround times, and service performance.
  • Analyse receipting trends and recurring issues to support service improvement initiatives.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test execution, and documentation for system enhancements and operational projects.
  • Assist in maintaining standard operating procedures, user guides, and process documentation.
  • Explore the use of AI and digital tools to improve reporting, data validation, and administrative efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Sales, Tech and other stakeholders on assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations at the end of the internship.

Requirements:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Polytechnic Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365 applications. Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify trends, and support reporting activities. Familiarity with Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, automation tools, or data visualisation tools would be an advantage.
  • Interest: Keen interest in insurance operations, finance operations, data analytics, operational reporting, and digital solutions. Interested in learning how technology and AI can improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
  • Mindset: Curious, proactive, and eager to learn. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy and accountability. Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Teamwork: Strong communication and collaboration skills. Able to work effectively with team members and stakeholders across Operations, Finance and Sales. Responsible and dependable when handling customer, financial, and operational information.
