Role Description

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer / Cloud Platform Engineer / Cloud Security Engineer builds and maintains cloud environments that support reliable software delivery and protect business systems. Responsibilities include automating configuration, monitoring services, troubleshooting incidents, and documenting changes.

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer provisions compute, storage, and networks and plans for capacity and recovery. The Cloud Platform Engineer builds shared tools and self-service deployment workflows for development teams. The Cloud Security Engineer implements security controls, investigates misconfigurations, and helps teams remediate vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, systems administration, or cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or a comparable cloud platform.
• Understanding of Linux, cloud networking, identity and access management, and infrastructure security.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, version control, and scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Ability to use logs and metrics to diagnose issues, verify changes, and document resolutions.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating technical changes and incident response across teams.
• For infrastructure positions, experience configuring compute, storage, and networks, planning capacity, and testing backup and recovery procedures.
• For platform positions, experience building reusable deployment templates, integrating CI/CD pipelines, and supporting containerised workloads.
• For security positions, experience implementing least-privilege access, encryption, and security monitoring, and prioritising remediation based on risk.
