Global Pets Sdn Bhd is looking for a responsible, analytical, and results-driven Assistant Finance Manager to join our Finance & Accounts team! This role plays an important part in overseeing daily accounting operations, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring our Group’s financial processes are accurate, timely, and well-managed.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Review management accounts, general ledger entries, supporting schedules, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and review consolidation schedules and information required for Group reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation activities.
• Review supplier invoices, payment requisitions, staff claims, and supporting documents.
• Monitor fixed assets, depreciation schedules, capital expenditure, and intercompany balances.
• Coordinate annual statutory audits and respond to queries from auditors, tax agents, and other external parties.
• Support corporate tax, e-Invoice, and other statutory compliance matters.
• Assist with annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash-flow planning.
• Support the financial integration of newly acquired entities into the Group’s accounting and reporting processes.
• Lead and supervise the accounting team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting processes, and internal controls.
• Assist in standardising accounting procedures and reporting formats across Group entities.
• Provide support to the Senior Finance Manager and Management on accounting and finance matters.

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Strong experience in full-set accounts, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
• Experience working in a multi-entity or Group accounting environment is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and time-management skills.
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality when handling company financial and salary information.
• Honest, trustworthy, flexible, and committed to high professional work ethics.
