Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and responsible Safety & Health Intern to support the Safety & Health team in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. The intern will gain practical exposure to workplace safety practices, compliance requirements, inspections, documentation, and employee safety awareness within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety & Health team in conducting daily/periodic workplace safety inspections.
• Support monitoring of compliance with company Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE/EHS) requirements.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining safety-related documents, records, checklists, and reports.
• Participate in risk assessments and hazard identification activities.
• Assist with monitoring and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the preparation and coordination of safety awareness programs, toolbox meetings, and training.
• Assist in monitoring the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Support incident/accident reporting and documentation when required.
• Assist with emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and emergency response exercises.
• Support internal safety audits and compliance activities.
• Assist with maintaining Safety & Health notice boards and communication materials.
• Perform other Safety & Health-related duties and projects assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Internship duration of at least 3 months or according to the company's internship requirement.

Pay: RM1,700.00 per month
