Requirements
The Senior Technical Executive (Northern Zone) is responsible for coordinating and overseeing day-to-day technical and field operations for CCTV installation, upgrade, testing & commissioning, corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance activities within the assigned zone.
The role involves coordinating technicians and site activities, monitoring work progress and SLA compliance, preparing technical reports, liaising with TNB site representatives, and ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with technical, quality and safety requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Operations
Coordinate day-to-day technical and field operations across all assigned sites within the Northern Zone.
Coordinate technicians and Team Leaders for Installation & Upgrade, Preventive Maintenance, and Testing & Commissioning activities.
Monitor site activities to ensure works are completed according to project requirements and schedules.
Site Coordination & Scheduling
Plan and coordinate site works, technician assignments and maintenance activities.
Ensure efficient allocation of manpower, tools, equipment and technical resources.
Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve site-related technical issues.
Technical Monitoring
Monitor CCTV installation, upgrade, testing & commissioning, corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance works.
Ensure technical works are carried out according to approved specifications, procedures and project requirements.
Identify technical issues and coordinate corrective actions with the relevant technical teams.
Reporting
Prepare and submit periodic technical and zone reports, including work progress, PM / CM completion, incidents, defects and site status.
Maintain accurate records of technical activities and work completion.
Performance & SLA Monitoring
Monitor zone-level work progress, KPIs and SLA compliance.
Highlight delays, technical issues and operational challenges to the Project Director / Project Manager and PMO.
Stakeholder Liaison
Act as a technical point of contact for TNB site representatives within the Northern Zone.
Coordinate site requirements, work schedules and technical matters with relevant stakeholders.
Quality & Safety Oversight
Ensure all works comply with technical specifications, quality standards and HSE requirements.
Ensure technicians follow applicable site safety procedures and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education
Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Security Technology, Information Technology, Networking or related field.
Professional Certifications — Advantage
Certifications related to CCTV / Surveillance systems.
Technical competency certifications such as:
Grid Contractor Qualified Person (GCQP)
Chargeman B0 / B1 / B4
Site Safety Supervisor (SSS)
NIOSH-Tenaga Safety Leader Passport (NTSLP)
CIDB Green Card
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in technical, field operations, CCTV / security systems, electrical, networking or related projects.
Experience in coordinating technical teams or site operations will be an advantage.
Skills
Strong technical, leadership, planning and coordination skills.
Good understanding of CCTV systems, electrical works, networking and troubleshooting.
Good reporting, communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Personal Attributes
Willing and able to travel between sites within the Northern Zone.
Willing to work after hours, overtime or be on standby when required.
Responsible, proactive and able to work independently.
Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
