Job Summary:
The Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining schedules for furniture production to ensure timely delivery, efficient utilization of resources, and adherence to quality standards. This role involves coordinating with multiple departments including sales, procurement, production, and shipping.

Key Responsibilities

Production Scheduling

1. Prepare and maintain master production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and capacity constraints.

2. Coordinate production activities to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing production flow.

3. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to respond to changes.

Materials & Inventory Coordination

1. Review material requirements and ensure availability of components, raw materials, and parts.

2. Work closely with the purchasing team to initiate material replenishment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

1. Communicate production plans to manufacturing teams and supervisors.

2. Liaise with Sales and Customer Service to prioritize orders and manage customer expectations.

3. Partner with Quality Assurance to address production issues and ensure compliance.

Performance & Reporting

1. Track key production KPIs such as on-time delivery, production lead time, and capacity utilization.

2. Prepare daily/weekly production planning reports.

3. Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements.

Continuous Improvement

1. Support initiatives to improve production planning, reduce waste, and enhance production efficiency.

2. Participate in regular planning meetings and contribute forecasting insights.

Ad Hoc Task

1. Any ad hoc tasks as assigned by superior.

Required Qualifications

1. Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

2. Experience: 2+ years of production planning or scheduling experience (manufacturing experience preferred, furniture industry a plus).

3. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
